What is a Reptile?
Reptiles are vertebrates, with scaly skin as opposed to hair or feathers. Their young look like small versions of the adults when they hatch.
Reptiles are ectothermic, which means they cannot regulate their own body heat so depend on their environment for warmth and to cool down.
