Westpac Brief Animal Encounters
A fantastic opportunity to learn more about these animals from the Keepers, get up close and personal, and even an opportunity to feed the animals!
Limited places are on offer each day, so pre-book your encounter online now! Same day bookings can be made at the Encounters Trolley or the Zoo Shop on arrival at the Zoo. Availability may change subject to animal management considerations. Particpants are required to wear enclosed shoes.
Brief Encounters run everyday except for Wednesdays.
Please be aware that Brief Animal Encounters do not include entry into Adelaide Zoo.

Meet one of Adelaide Zoo's creepy critters in the Envirodome.
Giant Tortoise Encounter
Join the Keeper and enter the exhibit to meet the incredible Giant Tortoise, feel their ancient looking shell, learn all about the species and even provide them with their daily feed.
Giraffe Encounter
Experience a special encounter with Adelaide Zoo Giraffes. Meet the Keeper and experience our majestic Giraffes at close proximity and an opportunity to feed them.
Lemur Encounter
Experience the Lemurs up close and personal when you enter their exhibit with the Keeper. Witness their antics as you watch these amazing animals feed and have your photo taken as a souvenir of the experience.
Lion Encounter
Experience the Lions at close quarters, meet the Keeper and help them feed the Lions their lunch. An amazing experience to see these incredible creatures within a whisker of you!
Pelican Encounter
This is your chance to get hands on with of the most unique feeding experiences the Zoo has to offer.
Squirrel Monkey Encounter
Visit the Squirrel Monkeys and experience these magnificent primates as they dash around their exhibit. You will get to feed the Squirrel Monkeys and have your photo taken as a souvenir of the experience.
Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby Encounter
Adelaide Zoo is home to the most successful breeding program of the rare and endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby. Come along and meet these beautiful little animals and feed the family.
