Services and Facilities

The Adelaide Zoo services and facilities ensure an enjoyable and fulfilling experience whether you are a day visitor, attending Zoo school or attending one of our many and varied after hours functions.

Picnic and Rest Areas - an historic undercover rotunda, benches and wide sweeping lawns for picnics and more intimate shady glades are positioned throughout the gardens.

Public Amenities - modern, energy saving toilets, disabled toilets and baby change rooms are located near the rotunda, the Westpac Envirodome and Children's Zoo.

Cafe - there are a number of outlets where where visitors can purchase meals and snacks.

Vending Machines are provided throughout the Zoo for drinks, ice-creams and other light refreshments.

Zoo shop offers an exciting range of clothing, gifts, toys and books. Proceeds from sales help to fund the zoo's work.

Eftpos and ATMs - there are electronic banking facilities at entry gates, zoo shop and cafe. An ATM is at the Cafe.

First Aid facilities - the Zoo has a fully stocked first aid room. Senior First Aid officers are always available on the premises.

Disabled Access - the Zoo provides ramps and railings for disability access.

Lockers - Lockers are available at the Front Gate to store items

Guide Dogs - Guide Dogs may enter the front gate and are given a suitable area with shelter and water while their owner visits the Zoo. Guide Dogs are not allowed through the Zoo, as it is a quarantine zone.
