Adelaide Zoo Education

The Adelaide Zoo Education Service (AZES) offers programs and activities for school and community groups. These programs and activities enable school children and the public to learn about animals, conservation and how the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia achieves its objectives:

  • conservation
  • education
  • research
  • recreation

The AZES is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

AZES Education Officers are qualified, widely experienced teachers with expertise at the Junior Primary, Primary and Secondary levels and in environmental education.

In 2009, Education programs will be relocated to the Westpac Enviro Dome, which will enable new programs to be developed and run from this first class educational facility, sponsored by the SA Government and Westpac.

This service is a partnership between the Adelaide Zoo and DECS Outreach Education Services attached to the Open Access College.
