Arts at the Adelaide Zoo
Australian Curriculum special event (Yrs 4 - 7)
17th - 28th June 2013
Over 2 weeks in June, Flinders University Primary Specialist teachers will present live performances and workshops for school students (Years 4-7) at the Adelaide Zoo.
All performances are based on the draft Australian Curriculum: the Arts and Cross Curricular Priorities.

Zoosnooze overnight programs
Four different programs are available with Wednesday night being our Secondary overnight program.

Adelaide Zoo Under the Stars
An overnight program for secondary students
Adelaide Zoo "Under the Stars" is our Secondary overnight program which runs on a Wednesday night. Students sleep in tents on the rooftop of the Westpac Envirodome and wake to the sounds of gibbons singing and lions roaring.
Zoo Focus Days (Yrs 8 - 12)
A 45 minute lesson with an Education Officer during your Zoo visit is a part of the Zoo Focus Day program. The lesson will focus on one of a number of topics linked to the Australian Curriculum.
Choose from a range of topics - or negotiate a topic to suit your students needs.

Junior Wildlife Days (Reception - Yr 3)
A variety conservation/environmental topics are on offer for Reception- Yr 3 classes. Each class receives a 45 minute lesson with an Education Officer. Please see the link below for more information.
Wild Zoo Days (Yr 4 - 7)
A 45 minute lesson with an Education Officer during your visit to the Zoo is a part of the Wild Zoo Day program. The lesson will focus on one of a number of environmental and conservation topics. Please see the link below for more details.
Zoo School and Junior Zoo School
Applications for 2013
Zoo School and Junior Zoo School programs are high quality learning programs which have been offered by the Adelaide Zoo Education Service for many years. Teachers work with Education Officers to negotiate suitable programs for their classes, which are supported by sessions from the Education Officer at the Zoo.
Cost: $60 per day + Zoo entry. Maximum class size: 33.
