Students

Do you want to ask a question or need help with a school project?

If you would like to ask a question about an animal or the Zoo you can email us at AZES on azes@zoossa.com.au

We are quite busy here, so it may take us a little while to answer your email, so make sure you are prepared and email us well before your project is due.

We also have a range of Zoonote information sheets already available on a range of animals at the Adelaide Zoo.

Talking to a keeper

Sometimes students like to question or interview a Zookeeper for their school projects. This needs to be organised through the AZES as we will co ordinate a time that suits everyone.

The questions that you will be asking the staff member, need to be sent to the AZES before the visit so that we can make sure the questions are appropriate and if there is any extra information the keeper may need to research before the interview. The Zookeepers are extremely busy and therefore we try and make this process as quick and easy as possible.

Career Awareness Day

Are you interested in working at the Zoo? Once a term the AZES holds a Careers Awareness Day. This is a chance to find out about the variety of career opportunities at the Zoo. You will get a chance to meet staff members and find out how you too could get a job at the Zoo. The Career Awareness Days are open to year 10-12 students and cost $32 for the day. Lunch is supplied. The next Career Awareness Day will be held on Wednesday 17th March 2010.  This will be advertised to schools in the first week of Term 1.

Contact your career advisor at school to get further information and an application form.
