Information for Students

Do you want to ask a question or need help with a school project?

We  have a range of Zoonote information sheets available on a range of animals at the Adelaide Zoo.

Talking to a keeper

Sometimes students like to question or interview a Zoo keeper for their school projects. Unfortunately the keepers are not available for individual interviews, however the Education staff can certainly assist with most inquiries. Students can arrange an appointment to interview one of our Education Officers by contacting us on tel (08) 8267 2434 or email azes@zoossa.com.au

The questions that you will be asking the staff member, need to be sent to the AZES before the visit so that we can make sure they are appropriate and if there is any extra information we may need to research before the interview.

Career Awareness Day

Are you interested in working at the Zoo? Once a term the AZES holds a Careers Awareness Day. This is a chance to find out about the variety of career opportunities at the Zoo. You will get a chance to meet staff members and find out how you too could get a job at the Zoo. The Career Awareness Days are open to year 10-12 students and cost $35 for the day. Lunch is supplied.

The next Career Awareness Day will be held on Wednesday 12th June  2013. Please contact your school's career advisor at the beginning of Term 2 for more information.
