Entry Fees for School Groups
Prices and Free Adult Ratios
As of January 2012 prices for entry to Adelaide Zoo for school groups are as follows. Please note all Zoo entry fees are GST exempt.
Education Price (when booked at least one week prior to visit through the AZES):
Child under 4: free
Student (all ages): $9.50
Disadvantaged student* : $7.50
University/TAFE and other adult groups: $11.00
*Students from schools that have a disadvantaged school rating of Category 4 or under and country schools.
Free Adult to Child Ratios
The following free adult ratios apply to pre-booked school groups. We recommend that, for ease of organisation and optimum outcomes for the students, you stick to the recommended ratios.
- Junior Primary (Kindergarten - Yr 2) 1 free adult per 5 children
- Primary (Yr. 3-7) 1 free adult per 10 children
- Secondary/Tertiary 1 free adult per 15 students
- Mix of primary ages 1 free adult per 8 children
Adults above this ratio will need to pay $26.00 each for entry or $20.00 for concession card holders.
