Zoomobile
Zoos SA's travelling progam
From the Zoos SA Education Service, the "Zoomobile" is a travelling service that brings the zoo animals to you!
Run by teachers, the Zoomobile brings to your group a specially trained collection of live Native Australian Fauna from the zoo – including marsupials, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects. Jessica, the Zoomobile education officer and her team of friendly animals will educate your group for up to one-hour in a presentation that can be based on a wide variety of topics tailored to meet the needs of your group and their learning. Visiting all Metropolitan settings. Now including some Hills and Murraylands settings too. Please enquire.
Audiences will experience a fun, interactive, hands-on, and memorable experience. They are able to look at and touch these unique creatures, reflecting on their own experiences with our environment, wildlife and the zoo whilst hearing about the conservation of Australia’s precious biodiversity and what they can do to help ensure it’s here for future generations to enjoy.
Group participation can include conservation games, discussion, question time, music, observing, patting the animals, hearing interesting facts and stories whilst learning about conserving our local biodiversity. Inspire your group and empower them to take action to conserve Australia’s biodiversity.
All this set in front of some spectacular backdrops of Australian habitats and can be accompanied with animal artifacts such as nests, eggs and skins. It is sure to engage, educate and stimulate all involved.
