A Day at the Zoo - Independent Program
To accompany your safari tour – you might prefer to organize your own day instead of participating in an education program.

Choose from the following:
• free time
• visit animal viewing areas (see Zoo Map)
• use walking tracks (see Zoo Map)
• keeper talks
• your own curriculum focused learning
• downloaded activities from our website
• visit the giftshop
• Food from the Café or Tuckerboxes (must be pre-ordered)
Sample Itinerary for an Independent Program
Preferred arrival time between 9.45-10.30am
Arrive – recess, toilets and look at the Visitors Centre (touch tables and animal displays)
Your free time to fill as you choose ( ie walk to the chimpanzees for the talk and then walk onto the Waterhole to see the giraffe)
Lunch
Safari tour (we provide a Tour Host for YOUR bus. Sorry no bus – no tour)
