Monarto Education goes MAD

Over the weekend of the 7-9th of October 2011, Creating for Conservation held its third Art Exhibition at Belair Schools in partnership with Monarto Education and Painted Dog Conservation Inc. This art exhibition is about supporting the wonders and ripple effect of education on individuals and communities in Zambia and ultimately to learn how to protect of the wildlife they live with.

It was a fantastic opening night with over 200 conservation minded people joining together to make a difference. Greeted at the door by a Painted Dog adorning everyone with a human consumption bonio biscuit and the drumming rhythms of African Soul, it wasn’t long the crowd came to life enjoying the atmosphere with a glass of wine in hand.

With over 250 amazing artworks on display, a prize filled raffle and an energising live auction, the exhibition space was a celebration of people acknowledging amazing talent, sharing stories of travel and conservation and dedicating their Friday night to Making A Difference!

Creative for Conservation made close to $17,000 profit which will be dedicated to conservation education and field work in Zambia. Simply, a superb and collaborative effort by artists, sponsors, volunteers and supportive people who believe in the ‘Art of Saving Wildlife’!

Creating for Conservation will return in 2012 at a new venue - Pulteney Grammar School on South Terrace, Adelaide. This new partnership with Monarto Education will see Pulteney Grammar Students head to Zambia on an international conservation exchange and take the wonders of education to a whole new level.

The date of the 2012 Art Exhibition is 2nd – 4th November
