Available only during the school holidays. We can help plan your visit considering:

2. Number and Year level of students
3. Number of buses
4. Access to viewing platforms and keeper talks
5. Weather conditions

Sorry no education programs are available for OSHC groups.

We will book you a safari tour time (on your bus) and then you can choose from the following to fill your day: 

• free time
• visit animal viewing areas (see Zoo Map) 
• use walking tracks (see Zoo Map)
• keeper talks
• your own curriculum focused learning
• downloaded activities from our website
• visit the giftshop
• Food from the Café or Tuckerboxes (must be pre-ordered)

Monarto Zoo does not provide buses for safari tours. Please ensure that your Bus company receives a copy of the protocols for travelling around Monarto Zoo. Buses must have air conditioning and a microphone for the tour host. Double Deckers, concertina buses and high top buses are not acceptable buses for a tour. Buses must have minimum 22 seats to be able to enter the lion exhibit.

Ratios for supervision follow DECD guidelines. PLEASE NOTE the Zoo Educator who runs the Education program, and the Tour Host who conducts your tour, is not responsible for behaviour management and hence does not count as part of the supervision ratio. The Bus driver is FREE over and above the FOC ratio.

Any members of the zoo will be granted free entry into the zoo on presentation of a photocopy (or the original) membership card.
