Adelaide Zoo had a very happy Halloween with the birth of Ady’s first pup!

Ady gave birth to a beautiful baby girl pup at 11am on Sunday 31st October, under the watchful eyes of keepers and vet staff. The pup weighed in at a healthy 4.5kg and it looks like she has Tasko’s big brown eyes and her mother’s stubborn demeanour.

Both mum and pup are doing very well but unfortunately Ady did not accept her baby, which was a possibility known to her keepers. Vet staff and keepers are caring for the pup in the health centre.

Stay tuned for more.

Great to hear the pup arrived safely. Sorry to hear that Ady hasn't accepted her baby. She looks cute :) Will she go on display?
