Join Peregrine and Dr Carla Litchfield on a primate experience like no other.
This specialised tour incorporates all the best Uganda has to offer with a strong focus on Uganda's Gorillas, Chimps and other primates of the region. We visit some of Africa's most famous national parks including Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls – and many more. We also get to spend time on Ngamba Island on Lake Victoria, home to approximately 40 rescued and orphaned chimps. A definite highlight will be your first glimpse of the giant silverback, deep within the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – a remarkable experience which will be impossible to forget.

Dr Carla Litchfield
Carla is a scientist involved in research and community work with organizations that promote animal psychological and physical wellbeing (in captivity and natural environments), responsible tourism, and conservation.
In 1994, she spent a year observing a community of wild chimpanzees in Uganda – the start of an ongoing commitment to the African great apes.
Carla is a lecturer at the University of South Australia, Vice President of Zoos SA (Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Zoo), on the Board of the United Nation’s ‘Great Ape Survival Project’ or GRASP (Australasia), and the current President of the Australasian Primate Society.
Peregrine
