Mokhohlolo Tour

Departure July 2012

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INVITED

Join Peter Clark on an unique wilderness experience in the Kruger National Park with the South African National Parks Honorary Rangers. First hand experiences during the tour include:

  • game capture
  • game relocation
  • counter-poaching measures

Now in its third year of operation, tour members get to participate in game capture (normally rhinos and/or elephant), learn about poaching techniques and counter poaching operations, go on game walks, a helicopter ride, and camp out amongst the multitudes of wildlife that populate Kruger’s over two million hectares of national park (there are around 15,000 elephants in the park, which can make things very exciting).

Kruger is home to the largest number of Black and White rhino in the world. The dramatic increase in rhino poaching over the last few years highlights the need for more support for these important men and women who are trying to stay ahead of modern poaching methods.

This very unique camp is operated by the South African Game Parks Honorary Rangers. This tour has now generated over $30,000 towards the protection of rhinos and other wildlife in Kruger national Park, with all profits going towards purchase of modern counter poaching equipment for the Rangers responsible for the protection of wildlife in the park.

Peter Clark is the Director of Wild Africa, Zoos SA. Besides his extensive knowledge of African animals in captivity, he is also a regular visitor to Southern Africa. His other interests include photography, insects and in particular, African birdlife.

See the Kruger National Park that tourists can't normally experience - it's a walk on the wild side!
