Zu-loop Shuttle and Guided Tours
Zu-loop Shuttle
The Zu-loop shuttle bus and walking tracks enable you to experience the Zoo at your own leisure. The Zu-loop transports you to the various wildlife viewing platforms where you will disembark at each bus stop to view the wildlife and meet with one of our informative guides or keepers. The Zu-loop shuttle departs regularly from the Visitor Centre and can be re-boarded from each of the bus stops at the viewing platforms.
There is no need to book on the Zu-loop shuttle, it operates as a hop on, hop off basis from the Visitor Centre. Strollers are permitted on the bus (look for the 'stroller friendly' sign on the bus window) Strollers will need to be folded whilst travelling on the bus.
We recommend contacting our friendly Visitor Centre staff regarding disability access prior to your arrival.
Monarto's network of walking tracks can be incorporated with the Zu-loop shuttle service for those visitors keen to have a combination of walking between viewing platforms and travel via Zu-loop.
Monarto Zoo is easily a full day experience. We recommend arriving early in the day to make the most of your visit. Allowing yourself a minimum of 4 -5 hours is recommended.
Pre-booked Guided Safari Tours
Pre-booked guided Safari Tours are available for private groups. Guided tours are available for social groups, large family gatherings,clubs and tour operators. A minimum of 22 passengers are required and bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Fees apply for tours please refer to the attached group tour booking forms for details.
Private group tours are available on your own bus or on a Monarto Zoo bus. The tour includes your own professional tour host for the duration of your private group tour.
Not available on public holidays.
Private tours on a Monarto Zoo bus are not available during school holidays or public holidays.
Supported accommodation and nursing home resident private group rates also apply. Please contact us for details.
Group picnic shelters are available for your convenience which also include ample parking for tour buses.
