There are 5 major habitat types at Warrawong that enable us to accommodate a wide range of native animal species.
- Dry Forest: Learn about the Mountain Ash trees that once flourished here – the tallest flowering plant in the world!
- Scrublands: Home of the Tammar and Red-necked Wallabies.
- Grasslands: The favoured habitat of the Euro, Red and Western Grey Kangaroos.
- Rainforest: The place to see Platypus, Swamp Wallabies, Red-necked Pademelons, Potoroos, Bandicoots and Bettongs.
- Wetlands: The delights and mysteries of freshwater springs, the Swamp, Black Water Lake and many little ponds are waiting to be discovered.
