Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari are now open again! Here’s what you need to know for your next visit. Find out more

The Board plays a vital part in overseeing the affairs of the Society and setting the strategic directions for Zoos SA.

Nominations for two positions on this Board have now closed and we’re pleased to announce seven great candidates have been selected.

As there are more nominations than vacancies an election is to be conducted to enable members of the Society to select two members from the 7 candidates. Only financial members of the Society who are 18 years of age or older on 31 August 2020 are eligible to vote. Information on the candidates can be found here.

Voting onsite at Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park is the preferred method and will be available for Members from 21 September to 5 October. Members are encouraged to visit and vote in person using a pre-printed voting slip located at Adelaide Zoo retail shop and Minchin House or at Monarto Safari Park Visitor Centre. Ballot boxes will be located in each of these areas as per previous years. The envelope in which you seal your vote will require you to put your member number and name on the back to validate your vote.

We urge you to cast your vote in this important election and to ensure that you follow the instructions correctly.
