Once again we’re excited to be partnering with the talented people at Ambleside Distillers to create a delicious tipple that’s as good for wildlife as it is for your tastebuds.
Behind Ambleside Distillers’ Kifaru Gin is a story – a race against time but one that has hope. A story of saving species and, as with all our gins, one of exquisite taste.
With mintbush sourced from Monarto Safari Park’s cultivated crop and from the land where Australia’s first Rhino Quarantine and Management Centre will stand, every drop of this gin has been lovingly crafted with conservation in mind.
Blended using two native botanicals (mintbush and wattleseed), Kifaru Gin is Ambleside Distillers’ celebration of 15 finely balanced botanicals. A complex gin with hints of herbaceous mintbush and notes of coffee, chocolate and hazelnut from roasted wattleseed – Kifaru Gin delivers on taste and all for wonderful causes.
Last year we donated over $33,000 to Zoos SA through the sale of our Kifaru Gin. The profits from the sales of this year’s Ambleside Distillers’ Kifaru Gin will also go towards safeguarding rhinos both in the wild through the SANParks charity in Africa and by creating Australia’s largest Rhino Quarantine and Management Centre at Monarto Safari Park. Additionally, one third of the profits will go towards the recovery and rehabilitation of native wildlife affected by the recent SA bushfires.
