A MATZ Adventure Room experience

12 MATZ. Two rooms. One hour. With only half an hour on the clock, two groups of six MATZ competed against each other to escape from their room first at Adelaide’s Adventure Rooms. For those of you that don’t know, an escape room is a live puzzle game in which a group of teammates have a certain amount of time to solve many puzzles to escape from their locked room, which usually has a theme. In this case, the MATZ were split into two groups and had half an hour on each of the two rooms. One room was a jail cell, where the teammates had to escape and “capture” the detectives, in the other room, who had to escape before they were caught.
Although stakes ran high, all MATZ thoroughly bonded during this activity. Screams of laughter were all you could hear from outside the rooms (and probably even Rundle Mall too) as Zoe accidentally broke a key, Parris handcuffed her own teammate and as Cam shrieked in terror.
Overall, we all improved our high pressure communication and teamwork skills, which will be vital towards our collaboration when we take on the Tisamale Exchange in April.
