Ambassador April Report

Quokkas have always been my favourite native Australian animal, and with the Ambassador program, I get to hang out with these gorgeous creatures every time I volunteer at the zoo. During my shift on the 20th, Lucas and I were given the job to clean fauna park and Winnie’s (kangaroo joey) cubby. Seeing the quokkas and Winnie hop around so close and all around us was absolutely incredible. When re-mulching the guinea fowl night quarters, Kinta, the Quokka, sneakily got inside. Lucas picked her up to help her out of the enclosure. At the time, she was munching on a leaf and didn’t let go of it! This was such a cute photo opportunity I couldn’t resist but to take one of her! Being apart of Ambassadors has given me all of these amazing opportunities and memories that I will keep forever.
