For workshop 2 on the 18th March, we gathered at Adelaide Zoo, loaded on two buses and headed to Monarto. Our first task was to move logs to make a neat pile we were proud of. It included sorting good from bad ones, and it took us 16 minutes to do – that would have been over 640 minutes for one person to do that same thing!
Our next task was to help clean up in the natives area. We gathered in the kitchen area where one of the Zoo Keepers told us of the jobs (either clean mouse traps, rake up the yellow rock wallaby poo and clean up the Tasmanian devil area). Myself and 4 friends cleaned up the Yellow Foot Rock Wallaby area. The time went very fast and it was very fun and wonderful experience.
