On our Team Building Workshop day on 18th February, the YATZ crew met for the first time we had all caught up since our induction camp and it was good to see everyone again. We did a lot of group activities to get to know each other. One of these was an activity where we sat in a circle and took turns to present items which represented us our meant a lot to us, items ranged from hats to necklaces to a leaf from… a 300-year-old gum tree. We then explained to the other YATZ how it represented us our why it was important to us, for example, I did my Danish soccer jersey as it represented my Danish heritage, love for sport and it is bright so it stands out from the crowed like me. This was a fun activity that helped us get to know the other YATZ on a more personal level and there was no set order of speaking which helped alleviate the pressure of talking if you didn’t feel comfortable.
