The beginning of the dream

We all meet at Adelaide airport and everyone was so excited with smiles crosses their faces. It was hard to believe that the Zambians are actually on the other side of that door about to burst through to meet us. We have work so hard for this moment it was hard to process it. The flags and colours filled the outside of the international departures. We anxiously waited for our new friends to come out. Every time the door opened everyone got excited, but it was other members of the public returning or visiting South Australia. We said our hello’s to some people who walked past. Finally, the big moment came. Our friends have finally came through that door. Everyone screams and cheered for them. We quickly grabbed our stuff and headed outside. We said hello to everyone and started playing dancing games. I soon realised that these Zambians are our new family members. Hugs and smiles could be seen everywhere. They were really here… Our new family from another country I am so thankful for this moment
