Value adding to present like a pro

Over the last couple of months MATZ have had the opportunity to work closely alongside Matthew, a TEDX Adelaide Volunteer to build upon our public speaking/ presenting skills. Over three sessions we learnt about our individual strengths and weakness when presenting, identified our own personal “deadly sins” (i.e. gossip, judgement, negativity, complaining, excuses, exaggeration and dogmatism) and discussed strategies for campaigning later in the year, for example employing the acronym “Hail”, which is to greet enthusiastically- “ Be honest, authentic, have integrity and show love”. We all benefitted greatly from the three sessions and grew both as individuals and as a team.
Personally, for me Matthew’s sessions were insightful, powerful and helpful. I saw a progression within myself and our whole team over the three sessions. We employed his advice and strategies into our everyday conversations (at home, school/ university, sporting clubs etc) and presentations to YATZ. After the three sessions there was a feeling of “new confidence” within our crew and it felt as though the was no limit for us, whatever the challenge was, if we put our heads together we know we would achieve it. We are very thankful for Matthew’s time over the last couple of months and have all benefitted greatly from his organic workshops.
