Zoos SA
Zoos SA is a non-government conservation charity, every visit, adoption, donation and ticket helps to save species from extinction.

YATZ Going Online

The idea began during a Skype call in late March, involving our mentor team and the coordinator. We are all passionate about conservation and agreed that we wanted to continue educating and inspiring the YATZ throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Together we brain stormed various ways to engage the YATZ through an online format.

We came up with the idea to host Masterclasses through Zoom, each mentor was to present a topic of their choice. I was the first to run one of our Mentor Masterclasses with my topic being ecosystems. I find this topic incredibly interesting as it is essentially discussing how plants and animals interact with one another to form nature as we experience it.

Having the opportunity to bring my passion to the YATZ and share my knowledge was a great experience. I am excited to continue creating online resources, where YATZ can learn something new about nature and other wonderful topics being explored by my fellow Mentors.
