Career Awareness Day

If you’re passionate about wildlife and interested in a career with animals and conservation, be sure to join us for our next Career Awareness Day.  This special day gives you a chance to learn all about how you might become part of the zoo team one day too.  It’s a great chance to meet staff from a range of careers at the zoo – from animal and plant care to administration and management.  Hear about how our staff became part of the zoo team and learn how you can get that competitive edge to land your dream job!

2020 Career Awareness Days are open to students in Years 10, 11 and 12. We also invite Year 9 students to apply for the Term 4 program.

Things to consider:

Students are responsible for gaining permission to attend the Career Awareness days with their individual schools and parents/guardians.

Teachers or other staff do not attend these programs so students are also responsible for arranging their own transport.

Cost: $38/student

The dates for 2020 are:

  • Term 1: March 20, Friday, Week 8 – postponed
  • Term 2: June 26, Friday, Week 9 – postponed
  • Term 3: September 4,  Friday Week 7 (booked out)
September 11, Friday Week 8 (booked out)
  • Term 4: November 20, Friday Week 6 – available to Year 9 – 12 students

Our Term 4 Career Awareness Day is now fully booked. Please visit us again at the beginning of the 2021 school year for the next round of dates.
