Membership
Zoos South Australia administers Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Zoo, and cares for over 3,000 animals, many of which are listed as critically endangered, endangered, threatened or vulnerable. To support our conservation and breeding programs, we desperately need more supporters.
By becoming a member you are supporting Zoos SA continue important work including captive-breeding and release to the wild programs of endangered species.
*Please note that it will take up to three weeks for your membership application to be processed. If you would like to visit Adelaide Zoo before your membership passes arrive, please show photo identification upon arrival at the Adelaide Zoo and the gatekeeper can look up your recently activated membership on our database. (New membership are actived on our database 48 hours after successful payment!)
Membership Benefits
By becoming an annual member you will receive the following benefits:
- A non-transferable membership card
- Entry to Adelaide and Monarto Zoo as often as you like for free
- A 10% discount on purchases at the retail shop at Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Zoo
- Free entry to most major Zoos around Australia (including Taronga Park, Melbourne and Perth Zoo)
- Regular copies of the Zoo Times
- Invitations to members functions such as twilight picnics and Christmas functions
- Special 'Behind the Scenes tours' plus an exciting program of events for our junior members.
- Members only Zoo E-News email once a month
As a member you can then apply to become a zoo volunteer.
Corporate Membership
Corporate members can join their family under the corporate membership scheme (minimum of ten employees)
Corporate membership benefits
- Meet the keeper experience as a group (One per year and maximum of 20 employees)
- No membership joining fee (Saving $20.00 per person)
- Sliding scale of discount off of total corporate membership fees (Please see costs below)
- Discount on hiring of Zoo function facilities for Christmas functions and conferences etc. (Subject to availability)
- Zoo Times publication delivered to the corporate address (Posted quarterly)
- Free one year subscription to Zoo E-News (Members only email)
