Zoos SA is a non-government conservation charity, every visit, adoption, donation and ticket helps to save species from extinction.

Opening hours

Adelaide Zoo is open from 9:30am – 5pm every day of the year.

  • Panda Exhibit 9:45am – 4:45pm
  • Reptile House 10am – 4:30pm
  • Nocturnal House 10am – 4:30pm
  • Walk-through Aviaries 9:30am – 4:30pm
  • Envirodome 10am – 4:30pm

Transport

The new tram line, and a 10 minute walk down Frome Road makes the journey easier and quicker.

The Adelaide Zoo bus stop is connected to services from the train station. Buses stop on Frome Road directly outside the zoo (Bus number 271 or 273 from Currie Street). Visit Adelaide Metro for more details.

Parking

Parking facilities in Botanic Park are managed by the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Please contact them if you would like to discuss possible extended parking options for your bus.

Limited metered ticket parking is available on Plane Tree Drive, War Memorial Drive and Frome Road. All metered parking is operated by either Adelaide Botanic Gardens or Adelaide City Council.

Bus drop-off

A bus offloading zone is located near the zoo Entrance on the western side of Botanic Park. Classes enter the Zoo via this entrance.
