BEST AND UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS OF MY LIFE

The fun just started at Adelaide international airport, after traveling a long distance from Zambia to Australia. I was very glad and excited to see how the YATZ and the MATZ welcomed us at the airport.  We sang our local songs and danced, and they also sang their songs they made for us. That’s when the strong connection and the bonds were formed.

Being in Australia was a dream come true for me, as I have been wanting to experience the culture, weather and many more things from outside my country (Zambia). I was very pleased to take part in different hands-on activities as I learnt that nothing is impossible when working together as a team. We did many activities like cleaning the chimpanzee’s enclosure at Monarto Zoo, making a wombat fence at the wombat sanctuary, clearing the land to make the fence at Innes National Park and much more. Doing all these activities, I acquired good leadership skills which helped me to become a responsible and organized person.

I felt at home being in Australia, as I never had the chance to miss home because of the proper and lovely care by the YATZ, MATZ and their lovely families.

All in all, if I were to describe Tisamale exchange in words I would say that it was educative, motivational, cooperative and funny!!
