We’re excited to be part of Safe Cat, Safe Wildife, a joint initiative between Zoos Victoria and RSPCA Victoria, to build a community of cat owners who have the tools to keep their cats safe and enriched at home.

With the proper care, you can provide your furry friend with a safe and enriching environment at home and the more time they spend at home, the safer they are from cars, cat fights and disease.
Around 46% of Australia’s threatened wildlife can be found in cities so by keeping cats safe at home, you’re also helping to protect unique and endangered native wildlife.

Pets need the same considerations as zoo animals when it comes to nutrition, environment, behaviour and health. Zoos SA have been working with Adelaide-based CatPad enclosures, to create a display at Monarto Safari Park (and coming soon at Adelaide Zoo). The CatPad team consider your property and the personality of your cat in their custom-built designs.
RSPCA South Australia and Animal Welfare League have developed a state-wide Cat Management Plan to increase collaboration between owners, community members, councils, animal welfare charities and other stakeholders.
