Face to face with Australian Wildlife

After the CFS session at Belair National Park, we headed off to Cleland where the Zambian students would be able to get up close and personal with our native wildlife.

We had a few hours to spend wandering around Cleland and my group got to see a few kangaroos which had joeys! We also went and visited the reptile house and got to see some of the snakes eating a rat – the reptile house had all different species from Eastern Brown Snakes to Inland Taipans. There were also a Bilbies, but we could not actually see it because they were hiding.

Later we walked down to see the dingoes which were asleep, and also the koalas (and as usual most of them were asleep too). There were lots of Potoroos running around the paths, which the Zambians thought was great. We then walked to see the Echidna and from there we saw the Tasmanian Devils. Before it was time to go we visited the wombats and then we all headed to the front gate to say our final goodbyes for the day.
