The Impact of YATZ 2017

Over the year of 2017, 37 valued Members of Zoos SA’s YATZ program have dedicated a minimum of 100 hours of conservation investment to their growth as a leader in conservation and as an active global citizen in the community. Their impact has been enormous!

22          The number Conservation professionals within the community who have worked alongside YATZ to help expand their knowledge and skill set in the world of conservation

329        The number of hours they invested as a YATZ Team to hands on conservation work caring for our environment

425       The number of hours invested in advocacy and campaigning about soft plastic recycling

458     The number of hours invested in Ambassador Training reaching competencies required for basic husbandry and animal handling within the Kids Zoo Keeping Round

After having sent their soft plastics off for recycling, the gift arrived in time for YATZ to present to the keepers and the goats, their 100% soft plastic recycled play platform. A legacy to show how we can save the world, one soft plastic at a time.
