Jackets on and flashlights in hand, the group quietly made their way into the mystery of the cool night. It was dark and unknown but bravery and the support of the group was acquired to be able to lead. The structure of the group was consistent and gave the needed support. Behind the leading member was the member that handled spotlighting and another with a red torch for the eyes of any lingering creatures. The group took care of one another. Asking each… other how they felt and what they thought, warning each other of the upcoming spiders and whatever that is ahead. Warmth, support and comfort being felt between each member. Heat also built up between each step but the coolness of the fresh rain splattered on their faces, overcoming the temperature felt in the layers of clothing. As quiet as they were, there were no sight of Tamar Wallabies or Pigmy Possums, but there was a lake in a new perspective, glimmering in the night. Under the wide sky of endless stars, the group curiously poked at the foam, questioningly dipped their finger to feel the coldness and some daringly discovered its taste.
Sometimes we think we had a “bad day” because we look at the events that occured in a negative perspective. Like maybe, being out in heavy rain. But if you looked at it in a brighter perspective, (turn that heavy rain into a free outdoor shower) your day may have not been so bad after all!
