There is something truly magical about Innes National Park. Whenever we spend time doing conservation work at this amazing part of the world, we all develop a deeper bond and friendship with each other. This time was no different – if anything it was more magical!
One afternoon we were down at the beach weeding ‘beach daisies’, which are an introduced species, and you almost couldn’t hear the crashing waves a few meters away over the chatting and laughter. We all became little kids again, mucking around in the sand dunes and having weeding competitions. I honestly don’t think I have smiled that much in my whole life.
I think the above photo captures the joy and happiness that was displayed on that beach.
