My thoughts of Tisamale before meeting the Chipembele students and staff were mainly just painted from stories, campaigning flags and a couple of skype calls. Meeting this bunch of young conservationists was just a dream, it never really felt real that I would form real connections with them. At the airport, the students and staff emerged, and it was incredible! Throughout the past two weeks so far, I have made lifelong friendships. There have been amazing stories told and memories made, I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of this beautiful exchange.
This exchange is more than what I ever expected, and it has blown my mind. If I had one word to sum up how I feel after meeting the Zambians, it would be appreciative.
