Ant like specks
appear in the far distance
of the windswept wild coast
called West Cape Beach.
With passing time
the specks grow into human form
wending tiredly their return
from their beach sojourn.

Soft sand teases
with each step
sinking below the surface.
The catch dragging heavily
as they trudge towards home.
Tiredness and effort
showing as they regularly stop.
Regroup.
Continue.
Determination and resilient.
The will to do rewarded
as they complete
what they thought they may not.
